BigSisterTutoringcom and Becoming a Learning by Grace Advocate

Dear Family and Friends, August 26, 2007

I just wanted to send another letter to my family and friends and let you know about my ventures in California since I haven’t written in a while. Some of you get kept up to date through phone or email, but I don’t always have contact with everyone on a regular basis. I thank the Lord on a daily basis for my family and friends and pray for those that don’t have these relationships in their lives. I hope this letter is finding everyone in great health and in happy and healthy relationships.

As most of you know, I went to Oklahoma this summer to spend some time with my father, after many years of being apart. Thank you Pops for allowing me and my dog to spend time with you, your wife, and your animals to help build stronger relationships. We had lots of fun fixing up the lake house and going fishing. Being out in the middle of nowhere and in the flatlands made me appreciate where I live more and more. I loved spending time with my Pops, but I missed the beach and San Diego, especially when it was over 95 during the day and then these massive wind, rain, hail, and thunder storms would roll through town. When Jezebel went into heat, it was time to go home.

After visiting with Pops and seeing him in action with his business, he inspired me to be a business owner myself. So I started my own online tutoring business last month where my company tutors basic reading, writing, math, and study skills. The company name is BigSisterTutoringcom, named after my nine younger brothers and sisters. I am currently setting up online classes as a PRIVATE TUTOR for my sister out in Hawaii, my nephew in Maryland, and my cousin in California. I need help from family and friends to promote my business to their friends and family. I am enclosing business cards or you can just send them to the site: www.BigSisterTutoring.com.

I am excited about the business of being contracted as a private tutor and helping people with their school work or with upgrades in these topics. My tutoring can be done from anywhere in the world asynchronously and synchronously. My company has also become an affiliate of the leading k-12 online Christian home-schooling curriculums, Learning by Grace. BigSisterTutoringcom will provide discounts as well as sponsorships to their programs. As a company we are a strong advocate for home-schooling, which is isn’t a bad thing considering the secularism, humanism, and political control going on in today’s public schools.

Please let me know if any of you would be interested in tutoring or know of someone that might need tutoring. I will be hiring tutors as employees and the love the idea of helping out family and friends make money. My tutors can work from anywhere in the world part time and will go through a screening process with training to be able to tutor using our system. I anticipate hiring employees in the next six to eight months, so let me know.

I love you all and miss you all dearly, especially those that I don’t see often. I went to church today and learned the importance of building strong roots in the ground which includes all of our relationships to be able to grow, mature, and produce the fruits of the spirit talked about in the Bible. Make sure your relationships, including your relationship with Christ, are allowing you to grow and mature intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and of course spiritually. If you are not seeing growth in all of these areas in a certain relationship, then it is time to ask yourself why you are in that relationship.
